The AoFAQ Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) replaces the Award in Preparing to Teach in Lifelong Learning Sector (Levels 3 and 4). This regulated qualification is as a results of a review by the Learning and Skills Improvements Service (LSIS) Who is this suitable for?
This course is designed to provide an introduction to teaching. It can meet the needs of a range of trainee teachers – persons not currently teaching or training, persons currently teaching or training although the qualification does not require practice other than microteaching, persons currently working as assessors who wish to achieve this qualification. What are the aims and objectives?
The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to achieve the AoFAQ Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF)
How Long does it last?
Overall 48 guided hours including 3 days classroom-based learning and an additional 2 days of external self learning.
How are delegates measured?
- 20 minute micro teach session
- 3 Assignments within 3 weeks from the completion of the 3rd day of the training
- Peer observation
