The aim of this course is to ensure that contractor site personnel have up to date knowledge of Health & Safety to enable them to keep working on site more safely with lower risk to themselves and others. Who should attend the course?
This course is designed for Managers, Supervisors and Operatives working within the petro-chemical, engineering and installation and maintenance sectors including contactor personnel, who already have a soon to expire or recently expired CCNSG Safety Passport card. Areas covered within the course:
- Introduction to Health & Safety law and permits to work - Safe Access and Egress - Safe Working Practices - Accident and First Aid Procedures - COSHH and PPE - Fire Precautions and Procedures - Noise - Manual Handling - Excavations - Working With Cranes and Heavy Plant Equipment How is the course assessed?
Each module of the CCNSG 1 Day Safety Passport Renewal is assessed through multiple choice question papers consisting of 20 questions each. The examination pass mark for each paper is set at 80%. On successful completion of the course delegates will receive a new CCNSG Safety Passport card valid for another 3 years.
N.B The Renewal course can only be taken if your current card is within the 3 month grace period: This is 3 months before the expiry date and up to 3 months after.
Once this grace period has lapsed candidates are required to take the full 2 day CCNSG Safety Passport course again to gain a valid card.
