Overview
Our one day Illustrator for Fashion course is aimed at designers working in the fashion industry, that have completed the Illustrator Getting Started beginners course or have equivalent experience and wish to learn specific techniques for Fashion design.
During this course you will learn how to use Illustrator to create flats, drawing items such as shirts, skirts, and trousers. You will cover working with custom brushes to create things like zippers, stitching, lacing and more. Illustrator features covered include things like custom brushes, symbols, libraries and patterns as well as many others. In addition to the regular tools found in Illustrator you will also be introduced to a number of extensions which lend themselves to using Illustrator for fashion design.
Who Should Attend?
If you have never used the pen tool, and have not worked with paths or adjusted curves before, you should take a look at the Illustrator Getting Started course. If however you are comfortable with this kind of thing and are looking to develop more specific skills that relate to the fashion industry then this course is aimed at you. You don't need to be an Illustrator expert, and this course is best suited to those who are at an intermediate level and want to move beyond the basics of Illustrator.
The course is very much hands on, and our class sizes are capped at a maximum of 8 delegates in London and 5 in York, ensuring plenty of one to one attention. The course is also available as a closed course at your own location.
