A site safety course for you
With such a wide selection of courses, knowing more about each one will help you make the right decision when its comes to picking your training.
Firstly there is the SMSTS
course or site managers safety training scheme is a five course designed to provide managers with all the information they need to be effective in their role.
Don’t get this one confused with the site supervisors’ safety training course. This one is only two days long and is not quite as in-depth as the managers’ option.
Both the SMSTS and SSSTS
courses are available as shorter refresher options. This means that as long as delegates complete the refresher in the five year and six month grace period, they can save time and money by not having to do the full course again.
The next courses to consider are the SEATS
and SSS course. The Site environmental awareness training and site sustainability simplified courses are designed to address environment centred issues in construction. Both courses are suitable for supervisors or managers that wish to augment their knowledge of how construction and the environment interact.
Other SSP courses available include the PMSTS or plant managers safety training scheme, which is very like the site managers safety training scheme but specifically centred around the hazards of heavy plant machinery.
There are also single day courses available in the site safety plus
scheme. These are known as Achieving Behavioural Change (ABC) and the Health and Safety Awareness course. Both of these are brilliant choices for those delegates just beginning there careers in either construction or health and safety.
