Martin Mitty - Managing Director
From an engineering background, his early years were spent installing and commissioning process equipment in central Europe, South Africa and the UK for the American company AMF Legg. 1987 saw a change in direction with his appointment as training advisor to Eastleigh and Salisbury College for the CITB, managing the selection, placement and monitoring of trainees with Hampshire based construction companies. He soon progressed to senior training advisor and with a small team responsible for local training courses, developed a reputation for quality provision. This lead to the appointment as manager of the CITB’s supervisory and safety training unit for the south west of England in 1993.
In 1997, Martin moved to the Totton based consultancy, Corporate Safety & Training as their business development manager and until recently, was responsible for new client liaison, advisory service across all training and consultancy subjects, support with CITB grant and the development of company training plans.
David Walker, MIIRSM APS - Principle Trainer
Having trained at a building college for four years, David joined the design team of a national design and build company. After three years, he moved into the construction department where he was involved with the management of many construction projects. In due course, he was instrumental in setting up a health and safety department and acted as consultants to other construction companies providing a full range of services and training courses.
David has to date over 40 years experience within the construction industry and is accredited as an instructor for the Site Management Safety Training Scheme and delivers several other topics including;
Managers & Foremen Safety Awareness, CDM Implementation, Scaffold Inspection
And Site Managers Refresher.
Kay Mills, MIIRSM - Principal Trainer
Kay joined a national construction company from a nursing background and trained as a construction health and safety advisor. Part of her training included understanding and involvement of site management. Kay was also instrumental in the setting up of a health and safety consultancy service and is currently involved in site inspections. A registered instructor for the Site Management Safety Training Scheme, she also delivers the following topics;
Safety Awareness for Building Operatives, Abrasive Wheels, Scaffolding Inspection, and CDM subjects.
Kevin Broadhurst, MIOSH - Principal Trainer
Following Kevin’s early exposure to industry with Colas Roads based in Andover, he moved in to the safety arena as safety officer to the west countries family run Constable Hart organisation concentrating on the day to day safety issues in a busy refurbishment company. A registered plant instructor Kevin also delivers the following topics.
Abrasive Wheels, Manual Handling, Tower Scaffold erection, Safety Awareness for Building Operatives and safety awareness for site foremen.
Donald Rawson, CMIOSH RSP – Principal Trainer
After undertaking the role of HM Factory Inspectorate in the early part of 1970’s, Don held safety manager roles with Digital Equipment Corporation, Mannesmann Demag GHBH, before joining The British Safety Council as a consultant and safety lecturer during the 1990’s. He later became group health safety& environmental manager for Mansell PLC.
His training expertise includes the site management safety training scheme 5 day and refresher courses and consultancy support in quality and environmental management systems.
Matthew Stevens, AIIRSM NEBOSH CONSTRUCTION - Consultant
Matt has worked within small and large construction companies over the last ten years advising on all aspects of health and safety. He conducts site inspections, produces safety policy , risk assessments and company audits, he is also a member of the Association of Project Safety and provides the CDMC role on projects ranging from £1,000 to £100 million.
David Taylor, NVQ Level 4 Occupational Health & Safety – Trainer & Consultant
After leaving the RAF, Dave worked at Corporate Safety & Training providing site inspections, accident investigations and advising clients on training issues. He moved to the Laing Homes organization where has continued this service until he was appointed Health & Safety Manager in 2002.
2003 saw a new role of Group Health & Safety Manager develop with Airtek where David was responsible for all parts of the companies activities for scaffolding, safety netting, self erecting tower cranes and airmats.
Andrew Wood, CMIOSH MIIRSM AIEMA – Principal Trainer & Consultant
Following 16 years as the safety and facilities officer for the De La Rue Crash Systems group, Andrew moved his efforts into AMW Associates concentrating on asbestos surveying, health & safety policy development, risk assessment, risk management, site inspections, auditing in addition to health, safety and environmental training.

Gary Tompsett - Associate Trainer.
20 years experience within the fire industry including course development, training manager for a national manufacturer and supplier of fire equipment.
Graham Lynch - Associate Trainer.
28 years in the fire industry, fire trainer for the independently assessed BSI approved examination.
Tony Statham - Associate Trainer.
First aid principal with over 20 years experience providing the full package of courses with a net work of trainers delivering construction related topics.
Hugh O’ Neill - Associate Trainer.
Hugh is NEBOSH certificate qualified and holds NVQ D32 & D33 assessors award (level) 3 concentrating in the first aid arena. Currently providing trainer/assessor support for medical gases, police first aid and manual handling.
Andrew Mitchell - Associate Trainer.
Management development trainer, Andrew experience was gained as a contract manager for Costains and Wimpey before moving into further education delivering courses on construction programmes. Courses include Management Skills, Team Development, and Finance for the non financial Manager and Appraisal Skills.
