2GC is one of the world’s leading specialist Strategic Performance Management consultancies, focusing exclusively on helping clients with issues related to Performance Management and Strategic Control. Based from the UK, Bahrain and Malaysia, and operating internationally, the 2GC team applies its energies to four main areas:
- Working with Boards and senior management teams to facilitate the articulation of strategic priorities and the implementation of management systems to control the delivery of these strategies; this work including the integration of Balanced Scorecard with pre-existing and newly designed management processes and tools;
- Auditing pre-existing Balanced Scorecards and other Performance Management systems to identify required improvements;
- Training senior managers on the design and application of Strategic Performance Management and Balanced Scorecard tools and processes, both at introductory and advanced levels;
- Researching current Performance Management topics, including Balanced Scorecard, as developed by both practitioners and academics, in order to continually improve the 2GC service offering – through this research, 2GC regularly authors, presents, and publishes papers on the subject.
2GC’s founder and Managing Director, Gavin Lawrie, worked for several years with Robert Kaplan and David Norton at Renaissance Consulting, Kaplan and Norton’s vehicle to commercialise the Balanced Scorecard framework. In 1999, he established 2GC with the vision of building a consultancy focused on applying the Balanced Scorecard framework, in particular as a support to strategic implementation activities. Since then, 2GC has worked with more than fifty organisations, both public and private sector, across some thirty countries, to design and implement more than 180 Balanced Scorecards.
