This PTLLS qualification consists of four units. Each unit has a 3 credit value within the QCF framework. This adds up to the 12 credits required to achieve the PTLLS award. The PTLLS qualification is essential for those wishing to enter teaching in the regulated Lifelong Learning Sector (LLS) in England and forms part of the framework of qualification for teachers in the Lifelong learning sector.
Note:- The Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) is the new government framework which sets out how all regulated vocational qualifications are structured, titled and quality assured
The PTTLS Award is for new entrants who do not have any prior teaching experience or qualifications and it is also relevant to those people working in an area already who want to gain an official qualification. However, you should know the subject you'd like to teach, and either have existing qualifications in your area or be working towards them.
Successful completion of the PTLLS award allows teachers and trainers to progress on to the Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) and the Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS).
