NEBOSH - Environmental Management Certificate

The NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate is a globally recognised qualification (the NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management is now withdrawn). The Environmental Management  Certificate has been designed to provide a sound foundation in environmental management. It is aimed at managers, supervisors and employees who have responsibility for managing environment issues as part of their day to day duties. The qualification focuses on environmental law and environmental management systems. It also provides a foundation for progression to either a National or International Diplioma in Environmental Management.

This NEBOSH Environmental  Management Certificate course focuses on the main elements of  legislation for environmental protection, as well as general principles of the management of environmental and pollution control. 

 

NEBOSH Course Detail

This NEBOSH Environmental  Management Certificate course includes the following elements

• Environmental management systems and identification of aspects
• Environmental impact assessments
• Control of emissions to air
• Control of contamination of water resources
• Control of waste and land use
• Sources and use of energy and energy efficiency
• Control of environmental noise
• Planning for and dealing with environmental emergencies

The course comprrises two units which are separately assessed. These are:

EC1 - Management and control of environmental hazards.

For this unit the delegate will need to complete and pass an invigilated paper based exam.

 

EC2 - Enviromental practical application.

For this unit each candidate is required to complete:

• An environmental review of the candidate’s own workplace
• A report with recommendations for the management team regarding the environmental review.
