ISO/IEC 20000
ISO/IEC 20000 is now an International standard for the development of IT Service Management systems. It comprises a set of management processes for planning, implementing, controlling and delivering IT service management.

The standard is in two parts, these being:
ISO/IEC 20000-1:2005 - the formal specification and the standard against which organisations are audited.
ISO/IEC 20000-2:2005 – a guidance document and Code or Practice for implementation.
