Summary:
This one-day course examines the new Code of Practice for IT Service Continuity Management, and looks at how it aligns or conflicts with existing standards and guidance. Using BS25999 and the BCI Good Practice Guidelines, we will look at how to integrate this Code of Practice into existing BCM Programmes. This course gives opportunities both to understand the implications of this Specification, but also to provide informed feedback to the BSI over its content, purpose and eventual development into a British Standard. This course was developed at the request of, and with the collaboration of the BSI.

Course Presenter:

Mike Balmer, MBCI

Having served in the RAF as both a lecturer on the Advanced Information Systems, and also a practitioner of IT and Project Management, Mike went on to become Head of Logistics at McAlpine Helicopters. Mike is now Lead Consultant for Business Continuity, and IT Disaster Recovery at the E-Borders Programme.
