Aims and Objectives
On completion of this course, delegates will understand: 
- The ill health effects of exposure to chemical and biological hazards 
- The options to control these hazards in the workplace

Who is the Course Intended for?
This course is designed to introduce delegates to the importance of occupational health
and the risks presented by chemical and biological health hazards. It is suitable for people
with responsibility for the control of exposure to chemical and biological hazards in the
workplace.– including line managers, supervisors, and safety representatives.

This course also covers the NEBOSH National General Certificate syllabus for Unit 12:
Chemical and biological health hazards and controls. Completion of the course therefore
provides a Level 3 (as accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum authority (QCA)
as part of the National Framework of Awards) course of study and forms part of the
RoSPA modular route to assessment for the NEBOSH National General Certificate
examination.

Qualification and Certification
All delegates who successfully complete the course in full be awarded the RoSPA
‘Certificate of Training’. This will be a Level 3 certificate and can be used as part of the NEBOSH National General Certificate qualification.
