Statutory First Aid at Work Refresher 2 Day

Who Should Attend?
Qualified workplace First Aiders who are within three months of expiry of their First Aid at Work Certificate issued by any HSE Approved training organisation, or within the subsequent 28 day grace period after expiry.

Course Content
The course offers a refresher of all subjects taught on the 4 Day Statutory First Aid at Work course:
- Aims and principles of first aid
- Prevention of cross-infection during first aid procedures
- Basic Life Support (CPR)
- Management of the unconscious casualty
- Assessment and treatment of a casualty who is wounded, bleeding or shocked
- How to deal with burns, poisoning and eye injuries
- Assessment and treatment of common major and minor illnesses e.g. epilepsy, diabetes, asthma
- Legal aspects of first aid at work - such as record keeping
- Managing cardiac circulation, asthma attacks and choking
- Management of fractures and dislocation

Completion Certificate
On successful completion of the course and final assessment, the delegate will receive the HSE approved, nationally recognised First Aid at Work Certificate. This is valid for three years.

By choosing on-site training, you can split the days over which the course is delivered and schedule courses at times to suit your organisation’s requirements. The course can also
