SPA Quarry Passport

This is a 2 day course incorporating the SPA Core Day and the SPA Passport to Safety [PTS] Mineral & Extraction [Quarries] Sector Module

Day 1 -SPA Safety Passport Core Day

This course forms the first day of the SPA Safety Passport programme and is often taken as a course in its own right to provide a general health and safety awareness across the industry.
It can also be taken as day 1 of an industry sector training programme, with day 2 consisting of the relevant industry sector module. Increasingly a Safety Passport is required before a contractor is permitted on site. This course allows the successful delegate to demonstrate to potential clients their competency through a nationally recognised Passport scheme.

One day.

Who should attend
All persons who are required to enter a site operating the Safety Passport Scheme as well as personnel at all levels who need a general overview of health and safety and its impact on their work.

Aims and objectives
Develop the delegate's awareness of health and safety issues and to ensure that they understand the main hazards associated with their workplace.

Certification
The programme is assessed and moderated by SPA. Safety Passports are issued to successful candidates.

Day 2 - SPA Passport to Safety [PTS] Mineral & Extraction [Quarries] Sector Module

The course is designed for managers and employees of companies working in the mineral extraction business - to provide basic safety training prior to entering premises operating the 'Passport to Safety' scheme. You must complete the SPA Passport to Safety Core course before enrolling on this sector-specific training [Mineral & Extraction Sector].

Duration
One day [plus the PTS Core Day prior to attending this course].

Who should attend
All persons who are required to enter a site operating the Safety Passport scheme and are involved in mineral and extraction work. Candidates already possessing the CCNSG Safety Passport only have to complete the Sector-Specific Day.

Develop the delegate's awareness of health and safety issues related to mineral and extraction work. To ensure that they understand the main hazards associated with this type of work.
