About this Course:
This award is approved by the Security Industry Authority for the purposes of applying for a Security Guarding Licence and covers the core competencies required.

Assessment:
It is delivered in two stages, each assessed by a multiple choice exam paper.

What is covered
Part 1: Knowledge based training and assessment (22.5 hours)
- Role and responsibilities of security operatives
- Customer care and social skills
- Health and safety and fire safety
- Dealing with incidents and emergencies
- The law (civil and criminal)
- Procedures for the control of keys and equipment
- Assignment instructions
- Reporting

Part 2: Practical scenario based training and assessment (7.5 hours)
- Communication skills
- Conflict management
