RTITB Fork Lift Operator Refresher

Course Objectives
• To be assessed to and achieve Fork Lift Truck operator standards, and a Nationally accredited license
• To be aware of the maintenance and pre-operation checks of fork trucks
• To achieve necessary driver standards in either Counter Balance and/or Reach Trucks
• To be aware of Fork Truck operator responsibilities

NLT Training or employers premises if suitable

Course Content

1.As part of either the theoretical or practical test, carry out orotherwise demonstrate understanding of, pre-use checks,identifying faults and deficiencies, taking the appropriatereporting / remedial action

2.Undertake a practical test, including:
- manoeuvring a laden and un-laden truck, forward and reverse
- carrying out a series of stacking and de-stacking exerciseswithin the main aisle
- manoeuvring twice in each direction, laden, through a chicane
- depositing a load and parking truck correctly

3. Undertaking a theoretical examination, written or oral
