This course covers the essential skills for administrative and secretarial staff who are part of a project team or manage their own projects and would like to be more effective and confident in these roles. It aims to identify ways in which participants can contribute more fully as members of the project team and learn the skills and tools they need to manage their own projects. It also helps them to identify ways in which projects can offer them development opportunities.

Course content: 
- Project terminology and the role of the project administrator/secretary 
- Project planning tools and techniques 
- Risk analysis: spotting what might go wrong 
- The ‘people issues’: relationships with the project team and external stakeholders 
- Contributing at project team meetings

Who should attend?
Secretarial and administrative staff who are members of a project team or who are themselves responsible for managing projects.
