PRINCE2 CONVERSION & PRACTITIONER EXAM

Course Overview
PRINCE2® Conversion is an OGC / APMG accredited, 2-day non-residential course which follows on from the 3-day PRINCE2® Foundation course.

This course builds upon your understanding of the Projects IN Controlled Environments (PRINCE®) project management method so that you are able to run projects using this method and will be prepared to sit the PRINCE2® Practitioner exam. (If you wish to learn more about the PRINCE2® Project Management method, view our 30-minute Introduction to PRINCE2®.)

Emphasis is placed on live case study examples to show the benefits of a structured method for the management of projects, so you gain practical skills by using the techniques to handle real issues. Class sizes are kept small to facilitate lecturer – student interaction and class discussion.

The course fees include lunch, refreshments and course materials, but please remember to bring your own PRINCE2® manual to the course– ‘Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2®’.

Pre-Requisites
You must have attended our 3-day PRINCE2® Foundation or equivalent course prior to attending this course.

Passing the PRINCE2® Foundation exam is a pre-requisite for sitting the PRINCE2® Practitioner exam.

Pre-Course Preparation
The course is intensive so it is strongly recommended that you undertake pre-course preparation before attending using the sample Practitioner paper and exam advice that we will provide. The need for proper preparation cannot be overstated and work done before the course enhances your chance of success in the Practitioner exam.

Evening work will be required of approx 1-2 hours and you should make sure that you are free of commitments for the duration of the course.

Examination Details
The Practitioner exam is a 3 hour Objective Test with nine equally weighted questions on a given project scenario. You must get 50% overall in order to pass. You are expected to show your ability to apply the PRINCE2® method to this scenario. The types of question that you will complete include multiple choice, confirming if statements made about the scenario are correct or not, placing proposed options into the sequence suggested by the PRINCE2® method, and stating whether assertions made about the scenario match with reasons provided to explain the assertion. The paper is taken after the training on Friday morning, and the papers are all returned to The APM Group for marking, which takes approximately 4 weeks. You will be advised of your result, by the training provider, as soon as the information is available and Practitioner Certificates are raised for successful candidates.
