Overview

Course duration:
1 day.

Not everyone in PR is a PRO, an executive, manager or director. There are many with indirect involvement, such as PAs, administrators and those in finance, technology or operational support. This course gives an overview of what PR is and does, with lots of examples to make it easier to understand.

Is it right for me?
Those working in administrative or support roles in PR consultancies or in-house teams who need to understand the fundamentals of PR. No prior experience necessary.

What will I learn?
By the end of this practical course you will be able to:
-Understand what makes PR different from other forms of organisational communication
-Develop skills in most of the basic PR techniques
-Understand the terms commonly used in PR and how to apply the theory of PR in practice

Training Method:
This course explores where, why and how PR is used in a number of different situations. Delegates work through the most effective methods of communicating and compare the use of PR to other methods of marketing communications. Plenty of opportunities to interact with other course members.
