NRSWA - New Roads and Street Works - Supervisors

The Street Works scheme is derived from two sets of regulations which cover England, Wales and Scotland, made under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991. (These regulations were introduced in Northern Ireland in 1997.)

The sixteen units of competence are for Operatives and Supervisors and fall into two groups: nine units for Operatives and eight units for Supervisors. One of these units is applicable to both groups.

Full Street Works Qualifications for Supervisors:

S006 - Certificate in Monitoring Excavation in the Highway
(Units 1, 10 and 11 are required for this certificate.)

S007 -Certificate in Monitoring Excavation, Backfilling and Reinstatement of Construction Layers with Bituminous Materials
(Units 1,10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 are required for this certificate.)

S008 - Certificate in Monitoring Reinstatement of Construction Layers in Bituminous Materials
(Units 1, 10 and 14 are required for this certificate.)

S009 - Certificate in Monitoring Reinstatement of Concrete Slabs
(Units 1, 10 and 15 are required for this certificate.)

S010 - Certificate in Monitoring Reinstatement of Modular Surfaces and Concrete Footways
(Units 1, 10, and 16 are required for this certificate.)

Course registration fees are £8 per successfully completed unit. If all units are passed there is an additional charge of £21 to enable delegates to be added to the SW Qualification Register (mandatory). The Yellow ACOP Coursebook is charged at cost price of £10. Certficates will be issued for each unit and complex successfully completed. If you are registered on the SW Qualification Register you will receive an ID card stating all complexes that have been passed. *****
