New Roads and Streetworks for Operatives Units 7 and 8

Course Objectives:
To provide delegates with the skills and knowledge to perform operative duties to the City & Guilds standards set in line with the NRSW Act 1991.

Who Should Attend?
Those who are already employed in the highways maintenance and utilities sector who require the skills to carry out excavation and reinstatement work (operatives) or who monitor the work of operatives (supervisors).

Course Content:
• Unit 7 - Reinstatement of hot-lay bituminous materials
• Unit 8 - Reinstatement of concrete slabs

Delegates will be required to take theory based assessments along with a practical assessment which will involve being observed on the job.

On passing the award, delegates will be issued with a Streetworks Identity Card by the Streetworks Qualifications Register (SQR)
