This course is suitable for candidates that have already successfully completed and passed the IGC1 unit within the last 5 years. By successfully completing the IGC2 and IGC3 Units, candidates will be awarded the NEBOSH International General Certificate.

- There is no time limit associated with the course. This means that you will be entitled to continue with your studies indefinitely until you have passed the course. The pass rate for this course is above 90%, but if you do not pass in the first instance, support will continue to be offered, although you will have to pay for any resit exams.
Comprehensive yet concise course materials have been developed that are streets ahead of other courses. As well as the vital information required to pass the exams, the materials are filled with pictures, examples and activities to bring the course to life. At the end of each element are revision quizzes and past exam questions to test your progress. A printed version of the course materials will be provided in a folder, as well as PDF version on a CD. Once you have booked and paid for this course, the materials will be sent out to you so you can start studying.
The NEBOSH International General Certificate Distance Learning course comprises 2 study based units and one practical unit. This course includes only the second study unit, which is IGC2 and the practical IGC3: Unit 2 (IGC2) – Control of International Workplace Hazards

Element 6 – Chemical and Biological Health Hazards and Control
Element 7 – Physical and Psychological Health Hazards and Control
Element 8 – Construction Activities – Hazards and Control On-going Assessment
Your tutor will work with you to develop a personalised timetable for you to work to. There will be revision questions and activities for you to test your progress as you make your way through the course, and you will be able to discuss these with your tutor at any point. At regular intervals, you will be required to complete an assessment that is submitted for marking and feedback by your tutor.
As this a distance learning course, the number of course days required is not fixed, but NEBOSH suggest a minimum of 40 hours study time for the study module. This is only a guide and will be influenced/affected by any previous experience you may have in Health & Safety and how quickly you learn new information.
The Exam is included in the course fee and can be sat in a number of major cities within the UK. As this is a distance learning course the published course date is in effect the exam date for the course.

Candidates are assessed by a written examination and an assessment of the practical unit. For those who pass, a certificate award parchment is issued on completion of the exam unit and the practical assessment, and on evidence of successful completion of IGC1 within the last 5 years.
The NEBOSH International Certificate is accepted by IOSH – the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health – in meeting the academic requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH). It is also accepted by The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) for associate membership.
As this is a distance learning course any published “course start date” is in effect the exam date for the course.
