WHO:

Any organisation or individual seeing the need for a controlled approach to managing programmes. The course is suitable for programme managers, experienced project managers, programme support team members and senior managers from any discipline.

DURATION & EXAMS:

This course takes place over five days. The Foundation exam is taken 16:00 on Day 4 and the Practitioner exam is taken 09:30 on Day 5. A Foundation pass is a pre-requisite for sitting the Practitioner examination. Evening consolidation and preparation work is required in order to gain maximum benefit from the course. Residential attendance is recommended.

Foundation Exam is a closed book, multiple-choice; 40 minutes, 50 questions 60% required to pass.

Practitioner Exam is an open book, objectively marked, 2 hours 30 minutes, 8 questions (in parts), 50% required to pass.

OBJECTIVES:

This combined Foundation & Practitioner course is designed to give the delegates an understanding of the "Managing Successful Programmes" (MSP) philosophy, and how it can be applied to live programmes. This course is delivered using the latest 2007 MSP Manual and Syllabus.

- Blueprint Design & Delivery
- Defining a Programme
- Planning & Control Benefits Realisation Management The Business Case

- Managing the Tranches
- Delivering the Capability and realising the Benefits
- Risk Management and Issue Resolution
- Closing a Programme

In addition delegates will work through case study based exercises and will be fully prepared for the MSP Foundation & Practitioner exams.
