MSP Foundation

This is an examination based course which gives delegates accreditation to Managing Successful Programmes Foundation Level. The course equips delegates with a detailed knowledge and structure of the MSP method including the documentation to be produced during a full programme lifecycle. The course will also focus upon ensuring that benefits are realised and buy-in from stakeholders is planned and managed.

• Discuss and understand the Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) approach, building on the delegates’ own experience and knowledge of large-scale change
• Discuss how MSP could be applied in real life situations and undertake practical work in a supportive training environment

Course Content
• How programmes come about
• Identifying the outline of what the programme is to deliver
• Defining in detail what the programme is to deliver and determining whether it is worthwhile
• Managing the programme including ensuring benefits realisation, effective and appropriate stakeholder management, handling issues and managing risks across the programme
• Ensuring that the programme remains worthwhile and aligned to strategic objectives
• Delivering the required outcomes to the required quality
• Programme reviews and audit
• Practical application exercises
• Exam Preparation

Course Structure
• Suggested 15 hours of pre-course preparation
• 3-day Course
• 40 min multiple choice, closed book Foundation Exam on the third day
• Delegates are encouraged to complete 1-2 hours of evening work on each day of course
