Objective
This course is suitable for you if you are, or will be, responsible for conducting environmental management system audits against the
ISO 14001 standard within your organisation, and you wish to use the most appropriate and reliable techniques. Previous experience
of management systems would be an advantage, but is not essential to your understanding of this course.

The key roles and responsibilities of an internal EMS auditor

How to verify that current practice conforms with defined requirements
That auditing for conformity can improve the stability and robustness of the management system
How to gather objective evidence through observation, interviewing and sampling of documents
and how to use these findings to report accurately
How to define corrective action is and who is responsible for taking action
How to follow up and verify the corrective action effectiveness
