IOSH Managing Safely

Who is the Course Intended for?
Managing Safely is a course for managers and supervisors in any sector and any organisation. It’s designed to give managers all they need to know to help them handle health and safety in their business. On completion of the course delegates should be able to carry out practical risk assessments and identify the key legal requirements for health and safety.

Course content: 
- Principles of Accident Prevention. 
- Common and Statue Law. 
- Health and Safety Management Systems. 
- Risk Assessment - techniques and control measures. 
- Workplace Hazards. 
- Fire, Electricity, COSHH, Noise, Work Equipment. 
- Accident Causation and Investigation. 
- Audit and Review.

Course Duration:
24 hours (this can be split into singular days once per week or in one block)

Pre-course Preparation:
There is no pre-course preparation.

Certification:
Delegates who successfully complete the written and practical assessments at the end of the course are awarded an Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Certificate in Managing Safely.
