Course Overview:
The Principals of effective risk assessment is suited to all employees. This qualification introduces candidates to the principals of effective risk assessing and outlines what to expect from a measurable standardized risk assessment. It will enable employees to develop safer systems of practice in the workplace.

Modules:
The qualification covers the following topics:
- The process of risk assessing in the workplace
- When and where a risk assessment is effective
- Risk assessment and control options
- Responsibilities imposed by the Health and Safety at Work Act

Progression Opportunities:
The Principals of effective Risk Assessing provides learners with sound knowledge foundation to build upon. The course will offer the opportunity to progress and work towards the CIEH Intermediate Certificate in supervising Health and Safety. This qualification can also be used towards obtaining your NVQ qualification.

Additional Information:
Learners must attend the full session in order to qualify for the short objective test at the end. The test will consist of 20 questions and must be completed within the allocated time frame. Test results and certification will take approximately two weeks to process.
