Course Description
BSI’s “BS 25999 Internal Auditor Course” assists participants in developing the skills and knowledge to conduct audits and self-assessments against the requirements of BS 25999-2:2007, Business Continuity Management – Part 2: Specification. Through small group activities, audit role-plays, and lively discussions, students gain a thorough understanding of how to implement effective audit programmes for a business continuity management system.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
- Clarify the different purposes of BS 25999 Part 1 and Part 2
- Understand the Business Continuity Management Code of Practice, BS 25999-1:2006
- Explain the requirements of BS 25999-2:2007
- Plan an audit for business continuity management systems
- Plan and conduct opening and closing audit meetings
- Conduct an audit of a business continuity management system
- Manage successful audit communication and interviews
- Articulate and present audit findings
- Write a succinct audit report
- Conduct audit follow-up and close out
