Aims and Objectives:
Once an organisation has implemented a Health and Safety Management System (HSMS) there is a requirement to ensure that it continually meets the needs of the business . Internal auditing is an effective demonstarion of an organisations commitment to ensuring that its HSMS continues to serve those needs and acts as a driver for continual improvement.

This one day course provides delegates with an understanding of Health and Safety Management Systems and together with the skills necessary not only to audit an HSMS for compliance, but also to identify improvement opportunities.

It is suitable for those without any prior auditing knowledge or experience.

Course Content:
Upon completion delegates will have gained a knowledge of: 
- What is a Health and Safety Management System? 
- The requirements of HSG 65 – Successful Health and Safety Management. 
- Risk management principles. 
- The audit process:
    Scheduling. 
    Preparation. 
    Performance. 
    Follow-up and close out. 
- Report writing. 
- Auditing for performance improvement.

Successful completion will enable delegates to audit Health and Safety systems compliance within their own organisation.

Certification:
All delegates who complete this course, will be awarded the:
Health and Safety Auditors Programme Certificate of Attendance and Achievement
