Foundations of Novell Open Enterprise Server for NetWare
Overview:
This course is designed to enable entry-level networking professionals to perform common administrative tasks using Novell Open Enterprise Server on NetWare. In this class, you will install Novell Open Enterprise Server on NetWare and perform tasks often required for those providing “front line” support for a Novell Open Enterprise Server on NetWare installation and/or serving as an entry-level administrator of a small to medium-sized network.
Audience:
The primary target audience for the Foundations of Novell Open Enterprise Server for NetWare course is network administrators who have little or no experience with Novell Open Enterprise Server for NetWare or a network administrator who has used previous versions of Novell NetWare but is looking to upgrade to Novell Open Enterprise Server for NetWare.
Prerequisites:
Students should have an understanding of the information in the following certifications:
- CompTIA’s A+ certification, or equivalent knowledge
- CompTIA’s Network+ certification, or equivalent knowledge
or
- Fundamentals of Networking (Novell course 3003 v. 2)
In addition, attendees should be familiar with network hardware and have a conceptual
knowledge of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, topologies, and various protocols.
The course materials, lectures, and lab exercises are in English. To benefit fully from the instruction, students need an understanding of the English language and completion of the prerequisites.
