Foundation Certificate in IS Project Management

Introduction
The ISEB Foundation Certificate in IS Project Management is aimed at those new to project management or anyone involved in IT projects.

This certificate provides visible evidence that the individual understands the basics of IT project management.

Candidates who pass the foundation certificate are able to demonstrate a good understanding of the principles of project management including planning, monitoring, control, change control, configuration management, effort estimation, quality, risk management and communication.

This course is particularly suited to anyone requiring the qualification and/or who needs to understand the application of a sound project management approach. It is particularly aimed at:

The course uses a detailed case study which enables delegates to gain practical experience of applying their knowledge.

The course is delivered in an entertaining and highly interactive manner with many real life examples used to illustrate the subject. There is a high degree of delegate participation, examination preparation and practice.

Prerequisites
There are no formal entry requirements for the course or examination, but it is assumed that all delegates will have a basic knowledge of IT.

Duration
This is a three-day course with an examination on the afternoon of the third day.
Examination The examination is a closed book, multiple choice papers lasting one hour. There are forty questions with a score of twenty six or more needed to pass.

Accreditation
This course is accredited by the British Computer Society, Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB).
