Fork Lift Truck Novice (RTITB)

Accrediting Body:
The RTITB is an independent and impartial training accreditation body working extensively in the road haulage and distribution industry. When organisations purchase RTITB accredited or approved training they can be assured that it has been independently monitored and that it will meet specified objectives.

Duration:
5 Days.

Target Group:
This course is designed for candidates with no prior experience of lift truck operation.

Course Content:
Practical Training:
- Introduction to the lift truck to be used
- Weight assessment
- Controls and instruments
- Handling laden and unladen pallets
- Starting, moving and stopping the truck
- Driving on/off ramps and inclines
- Steering the truck
- Road vehicle loading and unloading
- Operation of hydraulic controls
- Stacking/de-stacking
- Pre-use inspection & takeover maintenance –free standing & in racking
- Course review and evaluation
