First Aid at Work

About this Course:
This course is designed to qualify delegates to become the recognised first aider at work, but is also great for anyone with a personal interest in first aid. It's lively, fun and run in an interactive workshop style. It covers adult, baby & child first aid, including a range of illnesses, conditions, emergencies & injuries. When being run as an in-house course, we can welcome up to 12 delegates. In addition to excellent training, the course includes all course books, assessment, certification - and a free first aid kit for each delegate.

Course Skillbase:
The Objectives & Principles of First Aid, The Emergency Action Plan, How to Get Help Effectively, How to Perform Basic Life Support (CPR – All ages), Spinal Injuries, Head Injuries, Choking, Asphyxia / Hypoxia, Asthma & Other Respiratory Illnesses,Treatment of an Unconscious Casualty, Bleeding & Wounds, Burns, Fractures, Muscle & Joint Injuries, Heart Attacks & Other Heart Conditions, Shock, Anaphylaxis, Strokes, Concussion and Compression, Diabetes, Poisoning, Fitting & Epilepsy, Effect of Extremes of Temperature, The Responsibilities of a First Aider.
