Who should attend:
Staff having some responsibility for fire safety: Fire Marshals, Fire Wardens

What you will learn:
The nature of fire and comprehensive training for fire wardens

Course Content: 
- The role of the fire marshal or fire warden and relevant legislation 
- The dangers of fire and the devastating disturbance it causes to business 
- Basic fire safety principles 
- Common causes of fire 
- Fire legislation and how to comply 
- Behaviour of people in a fire 
- Identifying hazards and ignition sources, means of escape; recognising misuse of fire fighting equipment and systems 
- Principles of fire drills and evacuation procedures 
- Type of fire extinguishers and the types of fire they can be effectively used on 
- Practical exercise incorporating group “virtual reality” exercise and handling fire extinguishers on live fires

Course Duration:
3.5 hours

Please note : all Fire Marshals/Wardens are expected to take part in the practical exercise and hands on fire extinguisher practice.
