Summary
Fire can have a devastating effect on your business if you do not have the appropriate control measures and strategies in place to manage fire risk. From 1st October 2006 it is the responsibility of employers to comply with the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order. A fire risk assessment must be completed and reviewed annually. The 'responsible person' in a workplace (an employer or any other person who may have control of any part of the premises e.g. occupier or the owner).
