This course is designed for all employees who have been nominated as Fire Marshals / Wardens

Objectives:
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Identify the three elements that make fire and their interdependence
- Recognise fire hazards and identify the techniques available for fire prevention and control
- Define the role and duties of a fire marshal / warden
- List the different types of fire fighting equipment available and how to use them
- Explain the fire emergency procedures and the importance of signage, visibility and location of equipment
- Identify the appropriate fire extinguisher for a particular fire and know how to operate the different types of extinguisher with confidence
