Who is it for?
This IFSM accredited course is aimed at those who act as the ‘nominated competent person’ under current fire safety legislation overseeing the fire safety management responsibilities.
What will you get out of it?
Delegates will receive an IFSM Accredited Certificate and be able to apply for Technician Membership of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (TIFSM).
What does it cover?
The Fire Management Certificate course is delivered as an interactive learning experience, in a classroom with a tutor. It is split over two weeks of five and four days and is aimed at health, safety and environmental specialists who require a professional and nationally recognised fire safety management qualification.
Successful completion of the course means you can:
- Interpret fire safety legislation and its requirements.
- Implement an effective Fire Safety Management structure.
- Set up and manage an effective Fire Awareness Training Scheme.
- Identify and control major fire hazards by setting up an programme of inspections and assessments.
- Identify any Fire Safety Management deficiencies.
- Confidently conduct effective Fire Risk Assessments.
- Maintain fire records, documentation and Fire Emergency Plans.
