Description of the Course:
The course is a three day programme with a blend of tutorial input, case studies, discussion groups and practical exercises. The first day begins with a Leadership Audit, helping delegates to discover how they perform and how a team develops given different leadership styles. The difference between managing and leading is explored followed by the 7 stages of business growth and the leader's role. In order to lead you need people who will follow and understanding the make-up of teams and the needs of individuals is the next subject.
As the course develops delegates work through a wide range of topics building a solid foundation of techniques and skills essential for the effective leader. Then comes a fascinating session on coaching, perhaps one of the most overlooked of all the leadership skills. Research has revealed that coaching staff to greater personal achievement is the true hallmark of a leader. In summary, in three days, this course will change your life. Apply the techniques you will learn and you are well on the way to becoming a great leader.
This course is a residential programme and includes additional group evening work designed to enhance the learning process. It is therefore advisable, but not mandatory, for delegates to stay at the venue.
