1 Day

Maximum number of delegates:
12

Aims and Objectives:
The majority of employees now use personal computers and laptops in their work and this trend is set to increase particularly those who are not deemed as 'users' i.e. non-administration staff. Many employees regard the PC or laptop as an indispensable work tool.

Although the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 apply only to those staff formally designated as "Users" under the Regulations, the general legal duty of care and the requirement under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992 for the assessment of risks involved with work means that ALL display screen equipment (DSE) work and workstations must be assessed and any risks involved adequately controlled.

This training will enable delegates to effectively carry out and report on workstation risk assessments in line with the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992.

Course content:
- Why use a Risk Assessment?
- Display Screen Equipment legal requirements.
- Hazard association and avoidance.
- Risk Assessment is practice.
- Comfortable work
