Design for Manual Assembly
Design for Assembly is a powerful tool that analyses a product for assembly difficulties. These difficulties are then addressed and designed out of the product, enabling the resulting re-design to be produced at lower cost. This practical course follows the Boothroyd & Dewhurst method, which is used by many world-class companies. As part of the course fee delegates are provided with a copy of the Boothroyd & Dewhurst manual (retail value £100), which contains charts and methodologies to enable delegates to immediately practise the techniques in their own workplace.
