Half day duration (2.5 hours)

Summary
An informative course designed to raise awareness of the causes and effects of dementia. It will help carers identify and understand key elements of dementia care so that a better quality of care can be offered to the service user.
Dementia is a broad term for a range of conditions that involve loss of mental ability and is most common in the elderly; around 5% of people over 65 are affected to some extent.
