It is a requirement of Regulation 6, of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health
Regulations that an assessment of health risks created by work involving substances
hazardous to health is undertaken by the employer. This course ensures that delegates are
fully informed of the legal and practical considerations of working with hazardous
substances.

Duration 
One day.

Who should attend 
All personnel in an organisation, who may purchase, manage, control or be exposed to hazardous substances. The course can be specifically targeted at Staff, Mid-management or Senior Managers.

Aims and objectives
To raise the awareness of delegates in respect of their responsibilities under the Control of
Substances Hazardous to Health [COSHH] Regulations.

Course Content
- Duties under the COSHH Regulations 
- COSHH assessment and the use of Occupational Exposure Standards 
- Means of controlling exposure through safe systems of work 
- Monitoring techniques 
- Health surveillance 
- Information, instruction, training and supervision

Certificate of achievement on successful completion of course.
