Who should attend?
For persons who enter a Confined Space as part of their working activities.

Aims and Objectives
The aims of this course are to provide the candidate with a theoretical knowledge and the practical skills required to safely enter and exit a confined space; whilst using the correct equipment to achieve an acceptable level of safety and enhance safe working practices.

By the end of the course each candidate will: 
- Become aware of current legislation 
- State their responsibilities under the legislation 
- Identify hazards and the associated risks inherent whilst working in confined spaces 
- Implement control measures 
- Select inspect and use the appropriate PPE 
- Inspect, use and respond to the appropriate gas detection equipment 
- Inspect, use and maintain rescue harness and emergency escape breathing apparatus.

- Inspection, storage, hygiene and use of PPE
- Entry procedure
- Practical exercise and assessment
- Theory exercise and assessment

Additional Information:
Candidates will be required to provide the following:
Personal Protective Equipment. (E.g. hard hat, hi-viz vest, safety boots, gloves)
