Overview:
Effective recruitment is essential to any organisation, from interviewing the right candidates to making recruitment decisions. This course covers the skills and techniques needed to recruit new employees and interview effectively using competency frameworks.

Course Objectives:
This programme will provide individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully recruit and interview using competency based techniques.

- Defining the Competency-Based selection process
- The stages of the competency based recruitment process.
- Using competency based job descriptions and person specifications
- Job descriptions, specifications and ensuring the balance of technical skills and competencies; essentials and nice to haves.
- Conducting Successful Competency-Based Interviews
- The preparation, planning of competency based interviews and conducting the interview successfully.
- Effective Questioning and Listening
- Building rapport, questioning techniques, active listening, non verbal communication.
- Capturing and Evaluating Interview Evidence
- Recording the right information from the candidate and evaluating it against the behavioural requirements of the role.
- Interview Review & Decision Making
- Assess ability and potential in a candidate against your selection criteria. Making the selection decision.
- Skills Practice
- Practice interview sessions will be recorded on video and feedback given to develop effective interviewing skills.
