CIEH Principles of Manual Handling

This is a stand-alone level 1 qualification, which complements the CIEH Foundation Certificate in Health & Safety programme.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
It is aimed at those who carry out manual handling activities at work and introduces candidates to the hazards of manual handling, the risks involved and controls available. It also introduces the concept of a manual handling assessment.

- Manual handling injuries and the activities which cause them 
- Manual handling assessment and control options 
- Responsibilities imposed by the Manual Handling
Operations Regulations 
- Practical applications

DURATION
One Day.

ASSESSMENT
The course is followed by a thirty question multi-choice examination paper, which may be conducted orally.

CERTIFICATION
Awarded the CIEH Foundation Certificate in Manual Handling.
