Benefits of the Course
On completing this course candidates will understand:
How training can best be delivered to secure effective learning
How to structure and design training sessions
How to make training sessions interesting, stimulating and relevant
Duration
The duration of the course is 3 days. We usually aim to start the course at 9.00am each day and therefore taking into account time for refreshment and lunch breaks, the course usually finishes around 4.30pm each day. However, there will be additional work in the evenings preparing for the next day. The course will be a mix of syndicate exercises, work based teaching and presenting to the group.
Assessment
Candidates are assessed on their design and delivery of a short training session (minimum 20 minutes) which they are required to deliver to other members of the group. An OHP, acetates and flipchart paper are provided, however should you wish to use PowerPoint, you will need to supply your own equipment. Also, bring along any props you may need for the session. The topic is usually left to the discretion of the candidate.
Entry Qualifications and Progression
There are no entry qualifications for this course, although you would need to have product knowledge in the subject you are planning to train in, therefore you may wish to consider the CIEH Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety in Catering or Manufacturing or the CIEH Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace Course .
