Course Outline:
To provide delegates with an understanding of health and safety that will enable them to work safely without risk of injury to themselves or others.

Aims and Objectives:
The aims and objectives of the course is to allow the learner to understand: 
- Understand the principles of health and safety and accident prevention 
- Health & Safety requirements placed on employers and employees. Hazard and risk and the main causes of harm to workers. 
- Health, safety and welfare of provisions in the workplace. 
- The importance of following safe systems of work, procedures and rules. 
- Hazards and controls in respect to both safety and occupational health risks. 
- Understand how their own actions can reduce risks to health and safety. 
- Appreciate how workplace equipment and task design affect health and safetry

- Introduction to health and safety 
- Health and safety law 
- Health and welfare 
- Introduction to safety 
- Workplace and work equipment 
- Risk assessment , manual handling and hazardous substances 
- Ergonomics, working at height, transport, noise and vibration
