To provide the student with the theoretical and practical skills to be able to carry out an inspection of a building for asbestos materials and to collect samples safely.To give an understanding of the legal requirements for asbestos surveys, survey procedures and risk assessments of materials located during surveys.

This Course Includes:
-Legal requirements for asbestos registers (CAWR, MHSAW)
-Survey types defined in HSE’s MDHS 100
-Typical asbestos materials and applications
-Materials risk assessment and management prioritisation
-Sampling techniques and survey records
-Site safety and personal protection
-Building structures, components and terminology
