Overview:
This Awareness of Dementia course provides an Introduction to Dementia and is suitable for people working with people with dementia in the community or in a care setting. This is a very practical course and contains theory in relation to the subjects covered.

Course Objectives:
By attending this course we aim for you to understand the following topics:
- Understand what is happening to a person with dementia and how they may feel about it
- Understand how physical damage can cause everyday difficulties
- Understand how dementia can impact on communication

Additional Information:
The candidate will receive a certificate of attendance.

This course is delivered in partnership with the Alzheimers Society.
