Course Overview:
The aim of this course is to develop delegtes awareness of asbestos. The course is intended for those who work in building management, in the construction industry and those who work with facilities type contracts, or within facilities functions.

Asbestos Awareness Training Scheme (AATS):
- Must for all company Health and Safety Officers, senior management, maintenance personnel and building contractors
- Ideal for all junior management and supervisors
- Informative for all staff

Training day includes:
- Powerpoint presentation
- A short introduction and history of Asbestos
- Types of Asbestos
- Asbestos Related Diseases
- Asbestos Legislation update incorporating the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006
- Show video of the effects of an asbestos related disease
- The importance of the Asbestos register and Management Plan
- Emergency Procedures
- Action to be taken
- Who to inform
- RPE Equipment to be worn and used
