This course is an alternative route for securing the APMP qualification. The course recognises prior learning gained from the PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification within the last five years, with a focus on exploring subject areas not addressed by the PRINCE2 Practitioner syllabus. Successful completion of the associated examination will give the candidate an internationally recognised qualification in project management.

This course lays a firm grounding for the candidate to apply project management best practice in the workplace. We provide pre-course materials and activities to enable delegates to prepare themselves for the course so that they can take full advantage of the trainer’s knowledge and guidance.

Learning Objectives 
- The objective of this course is to prepare experienced project managers who are registered PRINCE2 Practitioners for the APMP examination. 
- Candidates with an information systems background who obtain the APMP qualification may apply for exemption from the written paper of the ISEB (Information Systems Examination Board) Certificate in Project Management.

- This qualification builds on a candidate’s PRINCE2 Practitioner knowledge and assesses their ability to apply project management skills and techniques to a non-complex project, or to assist in a more complex project. 
- The course material is based on the APM Body of Knowledge. Participants will take part in a series of intensive coaching sessions addressing all the main topics covered by the APMP examination in a structured and consistent way. 
- The sessions will include presentations, exercises and sample examination type questions. 
- Sufficient time is provided within the timetable for private study or facilitated revision. 
- Course includes a 2 hour essay style examination where the candidate will be required to answer 6 questions from an option of 10

This course will benefit 
- The APMP (with prior learning) qualification is particularly suitable for project managers and project coordinators who have three to five years experience in managing non-complex projects. 
- This is an intermediate qualification for project management practitioners who wish to demonstrate an ability to manage non-complex projects or run a key control function of a large-scale project.

- 3-day course 
- Course runs 9am – 5:30pm with a break for lunch

Pre-requisites
1. To have passed the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam within the past 5 years and be registered as a PRINCE2 Practitioner with the APM Group
